Mission

Living and sharing the Good News of Jesus.

We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ is Good News, offering eternal salvation and life to the full to anyone who believes in Him.

The Good News is to be lived out, both as individuals and collectively, by Godly living, prayer, fellowship, and worship.

The Good News has been given to us to share with all people, so that they may believe and come to follow Jesus.

Values

Confident in Jesus
Confident in Jesus

We want to be confident in our faith and knowledge of what God, in his love for the world, has done for us through Jesus. We want to live confidently, knowing that we have the Son, and therefore have life! This will shape our trust, obedience, and hope in God as we live with the assurance of a sure and certain future. We want to do life God’s way as people filled with the presence and power of God’s Holy Spirit.

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:11-12

Engaging like Jesus
Engaging like Jesus

We exist as a church to bring glory to Jesus. We want to love people in our communities enough to share the Good News of Jesus with them, and to invite them to follow Jesus for themselves and have life in all its fullness.

30 …the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”31 Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Mark 5:30-32

Relational through Jesus
Relational through Jesus

We want to share our lives with each other – our highs and our lows. We want to be people of a church who know each other outside of Sundays, providing care and support, through relationships of trust and Christ-shaped love. We want to have eyes that see the needs of our brothers and sisters, just as Christ saw ours, and laid his life down for us.

16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:16-18

Generous for Jesus
Generous for Jesus

We want to be people who give our resources generously and joyfully because of what God has generously given to us through Jesus. God cares completely, welcomes perfectly, loves generously, and gives extravagantly. He is never stingy or miserly. God forgives freely, supplies grace, and pours out his Holy Spirit. We want too as well.

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
